On The Road to Better Balance!

This is "the meat" of the course! We're going to go through each system and help you improve each part of you, then put it all together so you are safe and confident! Don't worry, we'll make each step of the way simple and actionable! Plus we'll be here for support, every step of the way!

Week 2 - Foundations 4 Lessons

2 Types of Exercisers

In this lesson we'll broadly divide ourselves into one of two categories and talk about ways to maximize our effectiveness at sticking with any exercise program.

Let’s Get Rid of Your Vertigo/Dizziness

For those with dizziness or vertigo, this is the first lesson for you to get rid of that world spinning trouble!

Standing Balance- Positions and Ankle Reactions

The first standing balance exercises. These exercises can be graded from very easy, to very difficult. They are simple, but effective for everyone and a great place to start building your exercise routines!

Let’s Start Getting Flexible!

Everyone could loosen up a little! In this lesson, we'll explore the main three areas people get tight and how to start getting looser!

Week 3 - Building on Foundations 4 Lessons

Exercise Theory- How Often Should You Exercise?

We'll talk about the optimal exercise guidelines. How often should you do each type of exercise? Strength vs. Flexibility vs. Balance and Coordination vs. Motion Sensitivity.

Exercises for Motion Sensitivity and Equilibrium Issues

These exercises are great for post vertigo treatment, but also for anyone who is just "a little off"! They are simple to learn and easy to do! Be consistent!

Strengthening Exercises

Balance is more than just keeping upright. We need to be able to move and that takes muscle! How do you build it and which exercises are most important? You'll learn in this lesson!

Dynamic Balance Practice

In this lesson we learn the basics of dynamic balance. Life is about movement. Later we will build on these basics to really get moving!

Week 4 - Retest and The Power of Routines 4 Lessons

Retest Time – Revisit Your Why

At the end of the week we'll be half way through the course. It is time to re-test and revisit why you are taking this course in the first place. There is still a lot to learn, but let's celebrate how far you've come!

Step Overs to Dancing!

All that practice on step overs will help you start dancing! Watch this video to learn how your practice is paying off and have a little fun!

Core Tucks and Tilts

We will start with core strengthening to help us transfer our movements from our feet to the rest of our body. This lesson is all about safe exercises to start improving your core. Who knows, you may even get a six pack along the way!

Exercise With Me for the First Half of the Course

All the major exercises in the first half of the course put together into one 35 minute exercise session. Come exercise along with me!

Week 5 - Games and Next Level 6 Lessons

Hip Reactions

These exercises help us with big losses of balance so we don't end up on "America's Funniest Home Videos" after a major fall into a kiddie pool. They are an extension of the ankle reactions we went over earlier which help with little losses of balance.

Advanced Balance Position Exercises

In this lesson we will progress the balance positions we learned earlier to include some of the equilibrium exercises we learned earlier! Two birds, one stone and more challenge and fun!

Revisiting Motion Sensitivity

We'll cover two more exercises for motion sensitivity, just in case you still are having any issues with dizziness after doing the first round of vestibular exercises and treatments.

Simple Back Stretches and Posture

We'll learn some simple back stretches to help you feel loose and get you standing taller!

Balance Clocks

These exercises are deceptively simple, but will strengthen your ankles, knees, hips, back, core and even arms all while improving your balance! It's almost a miracle exercise that's so deceptively simple, but the tips in this lesson will help you modify the exercise to ANY difficulty level!

Balance Games With A Friend

Now that we have the basics down, it's time to introduce some more fun! In this lesson we will learn about some fun balance games to play with a friend.

Week 6 - Dynamic Balance Next Level 5 Lessons

Core Next Level

We'll build on the basics and take the core exercises to the next level! (You may even get a six pack!)

Stepping Response

Once you have mastered the ankle reactions and hip reactions, we'll take these to the next level with stepping responses! (How to avoid falling into a kiddie pool and ending up on AFV.)

Hip and Back Extension Strength

We'll work on hip and back extension strength so you can stand taller that you have in some time! (And longer too!)

How to Get Up From the Floor

How to get up from the floor (because you chose to get down there). Or help someone else up off the floor (because they fell and couldn't get up).

Dynamic Balance Next Level

Now we're really going to get moving! These exercises will take it to the next level! (And they are fun too!)
