Can Anything Be Done About Unsteadiness?

(or is it just part of aging or injury)

Many people are frustrated at being unsteady, or unsure on their feet, but they don't know if anything can be done about it. Falls, can be devastating...broken ribs, broken hips, hospitalizations, concussions...the list goes on.

And falls don't even tell the whole story. One fall or loss of balance can lead to loss of confidence and independence. Feeling "off" all the time or worrying about going out or walking on grass, uneven parking lots or gravel...even without a fall, balance issues can rob you of your independence. It's just not fair!

But what can be done? You may have tried going to the doctor. The doctor likely gave you 8-12 minutes of time and a prescription for a dizziness pill...or worse "you're getting older and maybe you should start using a cane or a walker." That's not what you want to hear!
